I go to the Lakeland Community College train show every year. It is an MCR division 5 show and is usually pretty good. This year there is also a train show at the IX center in Cleveland. It is The Worlds Greatest Hobby on Tour show. The flyer and commercials make it appealing. If you could only go to one…which would it be? I am leaning toward the Lakeland show because I know it by reputation. I live 5 miles away, versus 35 miles, and I will have my 4 year old. With all of the winter month weekends to fill why do they have to be on the same weekend?
My four year old loved last years show…see attached pic.
I’m going to try and attend both. If I had to pick one it would be the Worlds Greatest Hobby Show at the IX simply because I live just a couple of miles from there. The Lakeland show is great and I hope I can get to both shows. I always take my granson to the shows and he loves them. It looks like the show at the IX will have alot for the kids. I too am disappointed that two great shows are on the same weekend. Whatever we choose I am sure we will have fun. Enjoy the weekend.
I’ve been to Railfest for a few years in a row now so I’m going to the WGH show this year. There won’t be the deals like at Railfest but it’s fun to see the new and up and coming products by the manufacturers. I really hope that BLI will have their pre-production NYC Mohawk at the show.
The one down side to the WGH show at that I-X Center is that you have to pay for getting in AND for parking. [xx(] Even so, I’m looking forward to it.
