Those Peskie Plastic RR Ties

Ever wounder what you would do with those ties you cut off while laying flex track,I didnt,But i just kept on saving em,but while i was laying some new road over a crossing i wanted a real look,Then it came to me so i cut some a clued em together and they look like the wooden ones you would find at a crossing. You Can say this is my first scratch buid heres a pic

What do you think?[:)]

Did you airbru***hose roads? They look pretty nice to me. I like your used tie idea. I used campbell ties for mine as in n scale the height of the ties leaves a little to be desired [:(]

Terrific idea. Also, place some ties in groups along your tracks as if they are placed there , ready for installation.

Nice idea but,I usually take those ties, file 'em smooth and replace under the rail from whence they came instead of leaving a large tie less gap in my flex track at the joints…[;)]

Looks great! Amazing how a little paint can make ordinary plastic look awesome.

As for replacing the cut off ties at joints - even after doing so I STILL have a small mountain of leftover ties, now I know what to do with some of them!
