$44.5 million for a new station serving 3 trains a day? Boondoggle.
There’s already a nice station there and it can’t be more than 30 years old. I fail to see what’s wrong with it.

The current station in Ann Arbor is too small for its current use, and with the upcoming commuter rail service restoration, along with bus service, needs to be in a new facility, so this project is not a boondoggle, as one reader mentioned. It would do well for Greyhound to get out of their antiquated facility on Huron St. in downtown Ann Arbor. The Fuller Road location will be very close to both the University Hospital on the U-M campus and the Veterans Hospital. For those who drive, more parking will also be available in a safe and secure location. I grew up in Ann Arbor, and looking forward to having the new station built.
