I never seemed to have much to say, but apparently I kept pushing the post button. Thanks to all you who answered my questions and made this round of MRRing more fun.
These things always seem to de-evolve into a debate on the value of stars, the crux of that argument being quality, not quantity.
That being said, I have enjoyed your posts and find you to be an authortiy in many areas. Your observations and comments are well thought out and contain valid information that is highly useful. It is a pleasure to have you as a part of this modeling community and I hope you stick around for many more posts. The argument of stars is NOT applicable to you for these reasons.
Yup, sure do! At age 16 you can drive a car, 18 you you can vote, smoke cigarettes, and join the army, 21 and you can drink. Seems kind of wierd that you can operate a 3000 pound piece of machinery at break neck speeds, vote for the president of the most powerful country in the world, die for that country or kill yourself with cigarettes, all before you can take a sip of alcohol. Not that I’m advocating alcohol abuse or anything, it just seems like kind of a weird progression, that’s all.
Back in January, they announced (Bergie said) that they were going to update the software. At the same time, they would do away with the star system. I think the consensus was thumbs up on both counts.
I don’t recall when it was to be effected, but I hope it is soon.
