Can anybody tell me where I can find tapes of thunderstorms and logging mill sounds so I can add them to my layout?

For thunderstorms, I would check recordings of “environmental sounds”; there are lots of tapes of rain, ocean waves, that kind of stuff. Good luck for loggin sounds. Maybe just go to the lumberyard and record your own.
