Ticket to ride..................

Hi guys,

Well, I have posted my first topic and had a few good replies and I would just like to say that you’re a great bunch of folk and i’m honoured to be in the forum.
Here’s to many years of gentle intercontinental chat and i’ll have a pint to you all when i’m in the boozer. If the railroad carried real people I would give you all life tickets!!
Cheers,
Kim

kimbrit,
Glad to have you on here. I too enjoy posting here. You’re right in that we have a great bunch here. Sign me up and let me know when the departure time is. Later eh…Brian.

Kimbrit,

If its a Guiness, i’ll drink to that! [:D]

Ahh, the beers of Britain! some of my fav’s

Murphy’s Irish Stout

Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale and Oatmeal Stout

Newcastles

Paddington’s Pub Ale

Abbot’s Ale

Young’s “Old Nick” Barleywine Ale and Double Chocolate Stout

Suggest any other good ones to keep an eye out for?

Have you tried “VB” Victoria Bitter by any chance. Brewed by German migrants right down in rainy Melbourne.

Ian

Been years since I’ve had a Brew, ah, what the heck, save me a seat at the bowser…, make mine a Coke.

Hi kimbrit
Thanks for the free pass.
Not being a beer drinker more a top shelf man but I dont mind the occasional drop of a good cider
have a good evening regards john

Hi guys,
This confirms it, the 2 hobbies go hand in hand, or is that track in glass? Anyway, Vic, a favourite of mine is Adnams - they do a few but watch out for Regatta - superb. I drink beer from microbrewers, the guys who have a brewing capacity from 2 to 20 barrells. They all subscribe to a loose transportation system where their brews get round the country. Another favourite is Gooseye from Yorkshire - and yes they have done a Galloping Goose, but it wasn’t the Rio Grande Southern. Yes Ian, i’ve had Victoria Bitter, but it was one that was brewed here as far as I can remember. John, looks like i’ll join you in a malt!
In the end it don’t matter what you drink - it’s the company that matters.
Cheers,
Kim
