Timonium

Who is going to the Great Scale Model Train Show in Timonium, MD next weekend (10/8 and 9) and when do you plan to be there?

For me, arrival time is most likely late Saturday morning. I don’t need anything, but I will probably walk out with something anyway.

I’m hoping to get there early Saturday. I need everything, but I plan to walk away with nothing. I’m supposed to road trip with my club, but I have not gotten a commitment from anyone yet.

I’ll be there. We try to arrive just after opening on Saturday.

I plan to be there - most likely Saturday morning. I usually buy something, but I have no particular needs at the moment.

What buffoon put this under layout design vs. general discussion? Oops, I did. [B)]

Hopefully see you guys there. Anybody wanting to set up a meeting time/place, just let me know. Maybe it would be best if it was not in front of MB Klein’s booth.

But that’s usually where the most open space is, aside from over byt he display layouts!

Besides, I probably should pick up some more P2K wheelsets. [:D][:D]

I need some wheel sets too. What about exchanging cell phone #s and add a little flexability?

OK. MB Klein just breaks out the N-scale Atlas metal wheel sets when they see me coming, so I’m part of that club. I’m sure they will sell me more this time, too.

When I get there is pretty flexible, pending some domestic disaster between now and then.

I’ll email my cell number to “youse guys.”

Here’s mine: 484-256-1200.

No prank calls now guys! [:D][:D][:D]

I might be there, let me double check though…I think it would be a good idea to meet at the lunch area, and if someone could make a sign or barrow the one that KenLarsen made.

How come Timonium sounds like one of those obscure minerals found on Rocky and Bullwinkle (like Upsadasium, or Hushaboom)??

If you are a Three Stooges fan, Timonium is between Moronica and Great Mitten. A little downstream from the Giva Dam.

“Hello hello, this is the power company. We want to know if your refridgerated reefer was running? It is? You better go catch it!”

I’ll be there. Maybe I should leave all my moola behind.

We usually make a pit stop in York on the way down - usually grab something to eat at the Bob Evans.

I don have to “Go Catch it”.

It’s being towed by a 2-8-0 with a SOUNDTRAX DECODER.

So all I have to do is dial up the ol DT400.

I am planning to be there next week end (Saturday early morning). I will be driving from Richmond, VA.
This will be my first show. I am not sure how the parking will be, is it a good idea to park in the light train station. Please suggest

Ken

There is plenty of parking. The show itself is in the big building at the rear - but unless you get there REAL early, forget about parking right down there. It’s not all that far to walk even if you end up parking near the entrance to the fairgrounds, which is usually where we park. Last time I was there, there was also a computer show in one of the smaller buildings, and stillwe had no problems parking.

If you want to meet up for breakfast at Bob’s I’m always up for some heart clogging goodness. Just give me a PM with a time.

We usually leave around 6, shooting to arrive about 15 minutes after the doors open at 9. It takes me about an hour and 15 minutes to get to Lancaster, not sure about the exact ETA to York. I have some cell numbers - I can phone an early warning when I’m 15-20 minutes away from Bob’s, or some other distance.

That applies to anyone coming in along Route 30 or down 83 from points North of York - meet up for a cup of Joe at the Bob’s Big Boy in York.

Anyone from the Allentown area - I can probably accomodate 2 additional passengers. But we WILL be there til closing, and the plan is to stop at Fuddrucker’s in Centerville on the way home that night.
