Sweet! Really nice weathering and detailing, clean and not overdone. I especially like the Di3 Double ended cab unit. It’s nice to see some handsome European locos to augment a steady diet of U.S. prototypes. Thanks so much for posting so many (really well done) photos and providing inspiration for your fellow modelers.
Very nice work Lokojon…you make it look so easy. I almost bought a Roco system like yours before I settled on the Atlas one (same as the Lenz system). So how do you like it?
Nice microlayout, but I didnt see any access holes to the underside of the layout, have you had any problems with stalls or derailments where the track goes under the scenery?
Thanks for all the nice replies ! Just wanted to share my work for the inspiration[8D]
Some replies on questions:
I like the system of Roco very much, the MultiMause is easy to work with and easy to learn, that is important for me.
But I must say, I haven’t experienced other systems because I’m rather new in this hobby. Started in august last year. Last time with modelrailroading was at the age of 10… I went to the closest hobbyshop and got some recommedations, and ended at Roco. In my childhood I used Märklin. And with the DCC solutions today anything is possible:-)
I hope you all will enjoy the pictures of my Di3 and Di5 wich I have been weathering by myself. I resently bought an airbrush and love painting with it. I have more locomotives, and will post more pictures after they have been weathered.
To the question on derailments:
I have cut holes in the bottom plywood so I got emergency entrence from below:
So far I have experienced two derailments, but the track are really smooth underneath, so it’s not a big problem. Through these holes I can reach all the track.
