The cover is very eye catching.
My only thought is: some of the tips may need to be exsponded on. But i know you only have so much room.
it does cover many of the common Questions that i have had to deal with.
i notice there are many ideas w/o names. Are they from your X files?[;)]

The booklet isn’t a secret anymore! Some of the tips were from forum members, some were from the GR staff, some from Marc H.–even a couple from me. I sent all the forum members who contributed a free booklet. These booklets are going to be bagged with the August issue’s newstand copy, and will probably be used in others ways down the road. It was exciting to see it come to be.

I would like to get ahold of some to hand out ( to folks who ask Qs) at shows. I could have used 4 of them this past weekend. These folks had already started and as I always do, invite them down to run trains. But very few ever show up.
If you and your " close " friend ever travel this way let me know I can take off work and run trains for ya.
Marc e-mailed me awhile back that one of the stuff was going to be in Omaha NE, I told him we are only 45 min south. DROP BY.

This is a new (just off the press) booklet that Garden Railways put out. It will be bagged with the August 2004 issues on the newstands, plus it will be used for subscriber premiums. I had posted a note here, asking for tip submissions, and several folks sent us items that are now published. They each received a copy of the booklet, so that’s where the discussion is coming from.

The tips on “Garden railway etiquette” really caught my eye. We attended an open house a while ago where SIX children were running amuck while the parents looked on without saying a word.
My brave little wife finally had enough and disciplined a couple of them.

.PS When Rene asked for tips on here. I had a hard time thinking of any. But after reading the flier, i realize how much i take for granted. Plus how many folks use the same basic tips.
The only problem i see with new folks is ; its easier to aks Qs and find the answers than to enjoy figuring it out.

I think I should have been in the pictures, I have shot myself in the arm. Duct tape and a lunch napkin do make a good bandage. Lacquer thinner does coterize most small wounds. I do practice saftey but I beleive my everyday use of power/hand tools raises my percentage on getting injured.
Allthough I do have very few nerves left in hands due to scare tissue.[B)]
Also in weathering any structure or RR item, get fresh air or have a paint booth you can make out of a rat cage blower.
I was very DUMB kid when I did the WW2 aircraft. Me testors paint and glue in 1 room, my bed room.
