TMCC Upgrades

What can I buy to upgrade a conventional locomotive to TMCC and RailSounds? And how much room does there need to be in the shell of the locomotive?

Here is a great source for upgrade supplies:

As a rule of thumb an upgrade on a diesel is much easier than a steam engine. With diesels there will still be some that are easier based on internal dimensions, for example earlier GP models(7’s/9’s) had narrow hoods/bodies compared to later models, 30’s, 35’s, 38’s.

Not to mention that the diesels come with plastic shells vs diecast on the steamers so the antennae issue is much easier to deal with.

Hope this little bit helps.

on a steamer another option is to put everything in the tender and run a teather to the engine.

do you know if UCUB boards are still availabe and if so where

How much do the TMCC upgrades cost? Joe
