Lest we forget… the courage it required of those farmers, tradesmen and others – and their families – who had the courage in the early days of our nation – and believed enough in the concept of freedom – to drop their tools at a minute’s notice and pick up a musket to defend that concept. And to the generations of patriots who followed, many of whom gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, so that we can enjoy that freedom. That’s the American way, and those in other countries who don’t have that same freedom either want to come here, or hate us enough for it to kill us. God Bless America!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe weekend.
It was the annual soiree at my sister’s house. Her and her husband threw the usual blast, complete with fireworks (not the above images, those were from Oak Brook’s display on the 3rd) great food, plenty of family, friends and fun…
