The pro wrestler Eddie Guerrero has died.
He was only 38 and had 3 daughters and a wife. his kids were 14, 9 and 3. I will say a prayer because now at christmas they will have no father. Please remember this. While we celebrate with our familys they have lost there father.
Let us mourn in our own way and not make this topic flaming. He was a goodd christian so hes gone to a better place. He was a good man that was loved by millions.
May he rest in peace.
He was a great man and loved his fans and most importantly, his family.
While it is sad to hear that such a young person has died — and my deepest sympathies lie with his family — what does this news have to do with model railroading ???
Does being a model railroader from the states put you on an elevated level or something? You know, above us common people that understand that you dont have to be a mrr’er to be important.
You know, i think ill put about 600 BIG PICS so that people (who shall remane nameless) dont have to bother looking him up before complaining that his death was listed in an inconvenient spot.
i was reffering to pedromorgans comment. let me remind you.
"chateauricher i was just wondering that. i had never heard of him and i was expecting to hear about some legendry modeller in the states!
Peter"
That was why i said that.
You know, it surprises me. If you people claim to value people equally ect than why was ronald regans death allowed. i dont remember him being an mrr’er. Im not american. IM AUSTRALIAN and i still showed respect for him.
Only some people can manage to turn a mans death into an arguement.
I don’t beleive we are taking time with this!! I knew quite well who this man was. But this is not the place to talk about it!!! Lots of famous or semi famous die all the time. This fourm is for Model Railroading(see pic below). Pleas refrain from using it other wise. Now I’ve wasted my time too!!
Speaking strictly for myself, this ridiculously long post is WAY over the top! [B)]
Tens of thousands of fathers die every day. It’s part of life. Maybe we should post a thread about every single one of them?
Some of the more prominent folks who have died do get mentioned here, even if they aren’t related to model trains in any way. And usually someone asks how their mention relates to model trains. I don’t particularly have a problem with Guerrero being mentioned, but the sharp-tongued and forum-abusing responses (including the very long post) to a couple of innocuous (and polite) posts about why this person was mentioned is another matter.
If he was so unimportant to you than fine i dont care. i really dont but why concern yourself with him and this topic???hmm?? What are you trying to acheive. I will not delete this topic and as there is no abuse i dont think bergie will either. What is so wrong with this being here, so what who cares, it takes up an inch of your screen on page 1. Ignore it if you want!!!i have not done anything wrong but apparently NOBODY seems to agree. It is like when 1 person starts the chain the domino effect comes in. It seems to be only brunton that does not have a problem with him being mentioned here. I watched this topic hoping that it would stay cool and friendly but i noticed people were hesitant to respond. As soon as 1 little questions is asked by one person it turns into 10 people comeing in and complaining!!!
What is so wrong with this being here!!! If i thought i were the only 1 here interested than i would not have posted this but people deserve to know. It seems that nobody with this huge rave of critisizms is game enough to admit that they care,
I hope you are all proud of yourselfs !!!
I bet if he had a train set you would all be crying for him. AND YES, he was an important person (somebody mentioned otherwise)
Posting a nearly 28,000 word reply IS abusing the forum (I copied the post into MS Word and looked at the statistics, which gives a word count), as far as I’m concerned. Still, that’s just my opinion. I scrolled past that long post fast enough.
But once again, if he was someone you respected I have no problem with the mention of his passing.
thankyou , i was just trying to show he was not some unknown person, he is my idol.
I am not trying to offend anyone, for some strange reason i assumed that people were willing to respect opinions here.
I had good intentions and hope that i have shown some people that he was a great guy.
From know on there is no reason to bicker so if anyone posts a nasty reply then they are just trying to stir up an arguement.
I have seen threads here of different members pretending to buy each other Mc Donalds Hambergers…What has that got to do with MR???
If you dont believe me go look at the Infamous coffee shop thread, half of it is FULL of stuff that has nothing to do with MR…and some members treat it like the HOLY GRAIL??? (Dont dare start another one…)
Give pavariangoo a break, he’s upset let him have his say…
