He’s probably one of the more effective past LIRR presidents, but not all went well under him. The current diesel fleet has huge problems - unreliable equipment, horribly uncomfortable seating, not to mention the cess pool on wheels cars. Though it was an improvement on the old rust bucket fleet. And I’m guessing the M7 designs went through him, right down to the narrow 3 seat benches and clothing ripping imitation arm rests. And both the C3 cars and M7 cars have headrests designed to cause intense pain to one’s head. I’m hoping that with him in charge now of MTA he’ll have learned some lessons from past mistakes.
