Tomar Industries is a company in Benton Harbor, Michigan owned and operated by Duane and Marie.
The company manufacturers a line of metal operating signals, fully assembled, and ready to be placed on the layout. I have a variety of their signals on my layout, including dwarfs, single and double searchlights. These are beautiful, sturdy and reliable signals.
The company’s customer service is outstanding. Call them, and Duane or Marie immediately answer the phone.
Recently, I damaged two signals while carelessly working under the layout, shorting out an LED on a dwarf signal and tearing off a wire on a searchlight signal. For a nominal charge, both signals were quickly repaired and returned to me within 5 days of sending them in for repair. This was not the first time that I have sent in signals for repair (always my fault), and the turnaround time has always been the same.
I just wanted to pass this on, so that others can be aware of this outstanding company.
