Tomorrow is TX giving

O.K. guys (and gals) time to get off the computer, get down(or up) stairs and get that track cleaned up, checked out etc. – before the young (and/or old) relatives arrive tomorrow, expecting a “flawless” model train show ! – as always !!

Well, 1) If I was not just starting out, and actually had a working layout, I would and 2) If I were not away from the “homefront” as I am now since I’m on Active Duty in the Air National Guard, then I would.

Well since tommorrow is TX giving…Happy Thanksgiving Y’all.

Stay safe JPowell. I know too that holidays away are just another day.

well considering i don’t have a working layout. and i’m going to be home alone this thanksgiving watching our dog and birds i don’t think i’ll worry about anyone coming over except maybe my cousin or something. see we always go to my grandparents on the 3 major holidays. but this year my uncle has been battling cancer and its my cousins dad. my cousin usually watches our dog. but my uncle is coming home from the hospital tomorrow so we don’t want to be rude and ask him to watch the dog. so my parents asked if i wanted to stay home. i said yes right away but then got to thinking that i won’t see my little cousin who will be 3 i think in a few weeks. he’s really cool. i also won’t be able to watch the big game like we usually do. instead i’ll be alone. a high school student not celebrating thanksgiving. how sad is that. i may have some chicken nuggets for Thanksgiving dinner, alone.

anyways happy Thanksgiving to everyone. hope everyone’s layout runs nice and smoothly and you don’t make an a** of yourself in front of the family.

It’s not sad when you sacrifice yourself to help others.

Hope your uncle wins the battle, I know the feeling of the “C” word, we went threw it just this last year with my mother. She, after years of neglect, finnally succumbed to a Mamogram and found suspicious tissue. Luckily, it was reaaly early cancer and they removed it. But it does bring everything into perspective.

Enjoy the day with the dog, you can see your little cousin at xmas time.

Jay.

I’m a day late and a buck short - hope all of you had a wondeful American Thanksgiving.

ya he’s had a ton of problems since probably 2 years ago. right after my grandma died they found he had cancer and an anurysm (sp?) on the brain. he had lung, brain, and a spot on his neck of cancer. he got it cleared and was doing fine but he kept getting infection on the brain so he’d have to go in and get plates put on his head and they’d have to clean it and all this. then last weekend he was up in the cities and came home and his 2 boys were home and he thought they were theifs. he didn’t know where he was or anything. kind of sad. he was doing really well to.

in the end i did have a alright time home alone. i’m glad didn’t go in a way. my little cousins were drawing on each others faces, spilling milk all over. playing with the new cat while eating dinner. glad i missed it.
