A beautiful warm night for railfanning here in South Florida. Warm regards to those shivering everywhere else tonight.

Enjoy.

We are expecting snow and ice starting saturday night. May the bird of paradise drop an ice cube down your shorts!!!

Here in Georgia it’s been in the mid and upper 70’s all this week. Nice video BTW. Were those boulders in some of those gons? Seems like they have a lot of agregrate(sorry can’t spell it) traffic.

No, that was crushed limestone used for road construction and to make concrete and asphalt.

Actually, rock business is way down due to the housing bust.

I recommend that you check out the Oct. 2007 issue of Trains; there’s a great article on the FEC that I’m sure you’ll find very interesting.

Thanks for the compliment; I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Yea I looked all over fot that issue a few months back and couldn’t find it. Maybe I can find a back issue sometime, from what everyone on here said it was a good article.

As long as it isn’t an icicle in my eye, Ill be alright. BTW, a big cold front is expected to arrive here tonight bringing with it severe weather (we really need the rain) and overnight lows in the 40’s. Brrrrrr. Ma, better pick up some cocoa from the store. While you’re at it, make some chili for dinner tonight.

How’s the new SD70M-2s are working for FEC? Are they going to purchase any new one’s? They do have an old fleet?

Rumor has it (again, RUMOR), they are going to purchase some more of the SD70M-2s. Can anyone confirm?

According to an aquaintance of mine who’s an engineer for FEC, there are supposed to be 4 more arriving summer, 2008, around August. They’re supposedly already ordered and confirmed.

Same Color Theme?

Yes, absolutely. That’s confirmed as well.

Ted:

Your Miami Dolphins finally won a game! [bow]

Yeah, they sure did. But if it weren’t for the “sudden death” rule in overtime they may not have.

Is there anyway you could find out when there on their way down? I would like to see them on their way home via CSX.
