Toronto system slashes fares on its airport express train
This service should really be a part of GO Transit.
I was in Toronto last week and rode the UPX on Mar 8, the day before the fare cut. When they checked my ticket on the train, I was given a voucher for a free return trip, which I used on my return to the airport on Friday. I guess they felt bad for people who payed over 2x more for the same trip than what they would have paid a few hours later!
Vincent: Yar. That sounds logical, but would reduce employment opportunities for Liberal/NDP bureaucrats. “Oh!, Canada!” is, after all, a welfare state, with a 15% sales tax (except Alberta, but don’t hold your breath).
