Looking good! I got the same fishing people from Sunset depot.
How well do you think the beaver dam will hold up to a heavy rain? Did you glue the timbers together?
Very nice. I really like the beaver dam idea and the small pond. I was thinking of adding a small bog or swamp to my layout but still have to figure out how to get the look (types of plants to put into it). Thats whatsgreat with this hobby there is always something to add or fix. Thanks for the pics
Very Nice! [8D][tup]
Thanks guys.
I picked up a few of their people and the beavers (though the scale of the people vary a bit from 1:24 to 1:20). The beaver dam is just a pile of sticks right now. Easy to fix by just pushing them together. I may get around to gluing them together with GOOP or gorilla glue.

That’s great!
The Beavers are a great touch but that lodge has to be in the water, no? The whole point of being a beaver is building a dam so you have a pond and can make a lodge in the middle. Otherwise you might as well be a groundhog
Brian, as good a modeler as you are may I suggest that your attempt for next year’s show be “The Chicken Ranch”? Any good town needs it’s house of ill repute!
On a more serious note, what did you use for all that expanse of blacktop? Looks good!
Brian,
Lookin’ good! I sure like the small waterfall next to the beaver dam. Taking notes, I yam.

It’s just roll roofing from the home depot. It comes in 3 foot wide rolls. I made one big sheet by joining it with pond liner tape.

Brian
I like your little town and you gave me an idea to use roll roofing for black top , i’ll have to look into that . How many ft. of track do you have their on your lay out ??? mines not a fancy R R
between the rail road and pond it keeps me busy . Ben
