Track cleaning on the Karlin Railroad
Very dull.
NIce little layout in a confined space that has limited potential. But layout has some good elements. Looks like you’re having fun with it. That is what is most important!
With a title like “Track Cleaning” I expected to get at least a hint of information on just how that was being accomplished.
Track cleaning is a dull job, but still necessary. This video gets much better after the first 30 seconds, when recorded much closer to the track.
I suggest slowing down the loco’s for a better viewing video here.
Enjoyed the layout tour and the use in a small space.
Wow, people are so critical! I love the video - Great use of limited space. I always enjoy seeing how creative people can be especially when the space is limited. Thanks for the video, I give it 5 stars!
Hate to a downgrader, but I got NOTHING from the video. For portions of it, a switch engine pulling a caboose went by. in other portions the engine and cboose sat there, sometimes with a sound unit playing. No explination of how track was being cleaned caught my eye. NOW I will admit I was watching on a 20 year old EMAC computer, and I often get this reaction to UTube presentations, so if this was one, I understand, but if not a Utube, what was this???I live in Florida by the way.
Agreed the video is worthless. Kinda like a carrot is out in front of you and you can’t catch it. That being said, find a sit down vantage point with a few “Ginger Ales,” and watch trains run.
Everyone has their own way to enjoy the trains in the garden … obviously this person likes simplicity and minimum work… I wish there had been more info on why he does it this way rather than another but that is their choice… I have both the track cleaner engine as well as the pull along cars with cleaner sponge as well as the old fashion dry wall stick… I use all 3 … depending on how " dirty " track might be … I also have used the track conditioner that is no available and LOVE it … Use it once a season and there tracks do stay a lot cleaner fort longer … check it out …CTK- Peru, NY
