Hi all,
The local hardware store recommended Maas Metal Polishing Cream for restoring all metals - silver, copper, tin, stainless etc. However it is not recommended for thinly plated surfaces. Has anyone had experieice using Maas to clean track or any other toy train metals?
Thanks,
Frank
I use MAAS metal polish exclusively for all my pre-war polishing duties. I have also used it on Lionel tubular track with excellent results. It does not leave any residue after it has been buffed out, and leaves an excellent shine.
what procedure do you use for applying and buffing off the polish?
What I do is poli***he piece as best as I can with a cloth or q-tips, then I will leave a little on it and put it in my tumbler filled with cotton balls and let it run for a few days. Comes out looking brand new.
ok, thanks
