Thank You.
[#welcome] to the forum.
I’ve only used Atlas, so I can’t really give you my opinion.
I can’t vote: as Spacemouse says, there’s no “other”.
I like the looks of Micro Engineering flextrack, but prefer the reliability of Peco switches. I use both.
I use Atlas 90% of the time. I just like it’s ruggedness, most of my track gets imbedded in road surfaces anyway, so I don’t look for the fine detail of micro-engineerings track. I have used peco and ME switches in some tighter spots where I needed a specific size that Atlas didn’t have. All in all all the chioces make a good product , and they all have thier own ups and downs.
How about ‘several of the above?’
I’m using new Atlas code 83 for visible track, with some Shinohara code 100 for specialwork approaches (I have quite a bit of Cactus Brass code 100 rail that I use for hand-laying switchwork, some savaged from Shinohara flex, some original from purchases made in Tokyo many years ago. It’s softer than Atlas rail, so it’s easier to work into points and frogs.) Hidden track is mostly Atlas code 100, with handlaid switchwork and a couple of Atlas #6 turnouts in non-critical locations.
Peco is what the hobby shop sells, and I’m happy with that!
i use atlas code 100. I’ve heard PECO is very good, but it’s too expensive for me. I have been very happy w/ all my Atlas track.
