I used 3rd PlanIt for several years but found out after my computer crashed that they have zero customer support. After sending several emails and voice mails I never got a response. If you buy their software you may be left out on a limb as I was. I have switched to using Carrail and find it quite satisfactory. The advertise in the Model Railroader our they may be reached at http://www.sandiasoftware.com/. I havn’t seen an ad for 3rd PlanIt for several months.

El Dorado Software, the maker of 3rd PlanIt, has had some issues in the past. But the owner, Randy Pfeiffer, is now actively particpating in the Yahoo user’s group 3rdPlanIt at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/3rdPlanIt/

Although you need to be a member of the group to post and respond, the archives of the group are public. Support has been recently reported to be good by some of the users on that group. I’ve used 3rd PlanIt for a while and it’s very versatile. It’s still available and the demo version can be found at the company’s website:

You might want to download and play with the demo version to see whether it does what you want.
