Track Electrical Problem?

HELP! [%-)]I built my layout following the Oregon Pass Lines plan by Atlas. When wiring I followed all of the instructions step by step. I have cleaned and vacuumed the entire track. It seems that when the train comes to certain parts of the track the train just stops. But when it give the train a little push it will move again. I don’t know if I need bigger wire, more voltage from the transformer, different track cleaner, or someone who knows more about electricity than me. Please help

First of all congrats on building a layout. Now about how big is it[?][tup]
What is the rating on your power pack[?] And what size wire are you
using[?] All of this makes a great difference on how your trains will
run. Is the place where it quits running, the farthest away from the
power supply[?]
As far as the power pack goes; you really need more “amperage” to
pu***he “voltage” to the rails. What is the amperage draw of the locomotive[?]
Okay, now what size wires connect everything[?] If you are using speaker
wire(gen.#18 #16) I strongly suggest using #14-12. gage wire.

Given I don’t know more about your layout than you have said, These are
the only suggestions I can come up with at this time.[%-)]

Let me know how you wind up doing and [#welcome] to the world of
railroading[2c] You can e-mail me to let me know how you’ve done
with everything,I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you.[swg]

I would add extra feeder wires - in the 14-12gauge wire. Also cheeck to see that the rail joiners are tight.
