Track Gage?

Brought Track Gage Standard, Haven’t found a single track that meets the standard. Either I am using the gage wrong, the gage is wrong or that none of the premade track is made right?

Thanks for you’ll help. I know this question has been asked, but I was unable to read the answers.

Here is a link to the NMRA web page that explains how to use the standards gage.

If you are refering to the NMRA track gauge, try this link. It should answer any of your questions. http://www.nmra.org/standards/gauge.html

Thank-you. I had a 9" atlas track section ( I brought for testing ), and Life-Like. Both, the gage was loose between the rails on all. Checked an old section of flex, right on the money. Again, Thank-you for the help.

what brand of track do you have? Also; what Guage are you in?

In his last post tetonjack stated, “a 9” atlas track section ( I brought for testing ), and Life-Like."

There’s your two brands and since, to my knowledge, only HO scale track comes in 9" sectional pieces, I’d bet thats the scale.

You lucky dog, I have had one on backorder for the last year and have yet to receive one. N-scale that is.

Seriously it could be any combination of these things. You are probably using it right though, I think it would be hard to use it wrong.
