Some years ago I built a 12" x about 7’ train switching game using 10 numbered cars (1 thru 10). The idea was to line them up behind the engine on main track in 1 thru 10 sequence. Ten playing cards, Ace thru 10, were shuffled, then displayed showing the NEW order of cars behind the engine.
Looking for the artical in Model Railroader which I think it come from.
Is it for something like this? Shunting Puzzles
