Track Time

Be sure to get on track protection before inspections…

Didn’t even have time to change his shorts between trains!

As some of the comments noted - can’t be in the US - 3 passenger trains in less than 30 seconds !!! What’s also interesting is that the 3rd one is ‘left-hand running’ on the outside of the 4 tracks.

Staged or not, it wold be a good training tool to also reinforce the safety rule about"'Expect a train on any track at any time in either direction !". I also have to wonder why the engineer of the 1st train didn’t blow his horn/ whistle - who needs to participate in yet another accident investigation ? Likewise, the next 2 trains should have seen this happening right in front of them within that short time frame, even at the speeds they were traveling.

I saw another version of this - on an NS-related website, I believe - within the last day or two. That one didn’t look like a track inspection was occurring, no white hardhat, and only 2 trains, as I recall. I’ll see if I can retrieve the link, confirm those details, and post it sometime later today.

EDIT - Nope, it’s the same video, as near as I can tell. Here’s the link - no details there at all, though, nor at the other website that linked to it, so who knows what the source is/ was, or how ‘real’ it is, etc.
