track width and spacing

Hi, All of my train material has been in storage for years but sometime later this year that could change! I’m attempting to plan my new layout but without any track I can touch, I’m having trouble recalling what widths to use when planning. I use Gargraves track and Ross switches with midwest road bed. Can anyone tell me the width of the track (straight), with road bed, and the minimum center to center spacing of two parallel lines? The three widths again: 1. gargraves track width 2. midwest road bed width (or similar) 3. minimum spacing of two parallel train lines (center to center) Cheers, --joe

Minimum required spacing for adequate clearance, curves and/or straights, depends on what you run (O27, scale, etc.), or what you may buy and run in the future. A little more information will help.

Or if you want a ton of good info…
