Tracks

Hi again I have decided to go with Atlas Code 100 flex tracks.

My question is will Atlas Code 100 work with Atlas True-Track ?

Thanks

David

Welcome to the forums.

Yes, Code 100 flex track and Code 100 True Track will work together, but you will have to do a bit of adapting. I don’t have any True Track here, but I think the plastic base is the same height as cork roadbed. Ifit isn’t, you may have to shim or sand down the cork a bit the last few inches before the transition. The trickier part is smoothing off the end of a piece of True Track to match up to the cork. They use the same rail joiners, so that is not a problem.

I presume you are using the combination because you have some True Track on hand, mostly curves. If yu only have a single loop of the True Track, I might suggest using it for a test track and do your layout all in flex. Most True Track is 18"r and will make pretty tight curves on a layout, but that may be all the space you have. Keeping them seperate would just save you some time and all the pieces of True Track would still be able to connect as they were intended to.

There is no reason not to, just a little fitting.

Have fun,
