Trackside Photo's

These pics were taken by my friend Ed using his “Cannon” 35 mm camera. I still think the resolution of slide film is far superior to that of digital.

Hope you guys like the way they came out…

The first shot shows a 2-8-0 leading a way-freight over Wye Jct Trestle:

To simulate sunrise, this next picture was shot using a low angled light source:

The modeling is top notch as usual, and the photography is great. It seems a little “softer” with the 35mm.

Great pics Bob. the resolution is certainly good. I wonder sometimes if it might be the photographer? The use of light is certainly better than anything I can do.

Great work Bob. Even though, I’ve embraced digitial, it’s nice to see someone still taking the time to use film.

I like the effect in the second picture, although, to me, the light is too white for sunrise. I would have used a more yellow light, or possibly a filter.

Nice pics and nice modeling as well. I think you can get just as good a result using digital at the resolution we see things here but I’m sure it looks better on film when you see it in person.

Nice pics as usual, I’d like to see more of a yellow cast in the sunrise shot though.
