Good morning,

Check out this week’s Trackside with Trains photo competition, featuring eight photos of “GE locomotives.” Vote for the winner here:

Good luck to our participants!

All excellent photos, but I didn’t feel any one stood out as significantly superior. I’ll abstain this time.

Went with Alex….even though it is a “wedge” shot, the location and background make it work, and it does show GE’s mainstay off quite well.

I went with Peter Clark’s shot. It’s nice to see railroading from well beyond our borders and Australian railroading is an interesting hybrid of North American and overseas railroading.

Paul,

Thanks.

I picked a photo that was well lit and showed the locomotives (which would be unfamiliar to most forum members) clearly. I never expected to win. But I am pleased with the response. I will submit further photographs when the subject is appropriate.

Peter

I went with the same.

Peter, are you the Peter Clark who is the author of the books such as An Australian Locomotive Guide?

I am indeed.

I am worrying about an update of that book right now.

Peter

Well, it is wonderful to have someone so knowledgeable on the forum!

I enjoy your book very much.

I liked the Australian photo just because it was something out of the norm.
