Trackside with Trains Vol. 313: "Super short lines" is open for submissions

Congratulations to Bryan Bechtold for his winning photo in Trackside with Trains Vol. 312!

The theme for Vol. 313 is “super short lines.” Due to the shortened holiday week, please submit your images by 12 p.m. Central Daylight Time Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, to trackside@trains.com. Only one submission should be sent per photographer. For full guidelines, go to trn.trains.com/photos-videos/trackside

Brian Schmidt (9-25):

Could you clarify exactly what is meant by “super short line”?

Is what you want SUPER SHORT, like maybe only a half a mile long, etc., or is it a SUPER LONG short line, perhaps 200 or 500 miles in length with decrepit, rickety track in abundance? Or is it one that its management is SUPER in that it wines and dines its customers often? I’m pretty sure it is not one with SUPER diesels, like with precious gold fuel tanks …with guards riding shotgun ….

Thanks,

K.P.

That would be a SUPER DUPER Shortline!
