I am experiancing a problem, keeping the rubber traction tires in place on a couple of my engines…any ideas out there on how to resolve this problem? Is replacement the only solution, and does it work? Has anyone tried glue, and if so what type? Thanks for any help… Darco
A very small amount of instant glue applied with a flat tooth pick has worked for me on my K-Line Mikado. It was a notorious traction tire throwing locomotive and now works perfect, even during an emergency stop.
He just confirmed a procedure I was about to try. Ironically one of the engines giving me the problem is a K-Line Mikado…Thanks again for the help…Darco
If you have any rubber cement, the kind kids used to use in school, it would be a better choice for when you want/need to change the tire. It’s easier to clean out of the groove.
