csx was busy today.alot of trains were jammed up at garrett dont know if it was track or lack of crews. the crew on the 501 took the train to lima then turned around with the 500 back for garrett.wonder how much extra they made today?
That is a good question. Do crews get paid for mileage based operations, hours worked, or a combination of both? I hear dispatchers use a crew for a move, then take another short timer to terminal, etc.
Do you think the severe flooding on BNSF and UP is backing up CSX, CN and NS?
first CP runs on ns now not csx they were q501(south) and then q500(north).ive heard of crews that had to take another train back into a yard and they made extra $$.I dont know about flooding but I heard there was a derailment in illinois this side of galesburg on bnsf??
