Not really, but when I post, the toolbar is not there. No font changers, linkers, colors, etc. I am using Google Chrome, and have no idea where they went?
Lessee…have you logged out so that your cookie is deleted, and then tried to log in again? That used to be Bergie’s standard advice when a person expressed puzzlement over their experience here. They changed their server/software a couple of weeks back, and it might have something to do with what vexes you.
Otherwise, sorry, I am out of ammo. Please contact customer services (blue links much further down the page) and explain your circumstances.
Could your profile settings have been changed somehow? Click on the ‘Update Profile’ link, on the right, then go to the ‘Site Options’ tab. The drop-down box next to ‘Content Editor’ should say ‘Enhanced’.
Hi, coborn35. Thanks for posting this - same is happening to me - new computer 2 weeks ago, Windows 7, also Google Chrome browser. Just before that, upgraded the old one with Windows XP from IE 6 to IE 8 - no problems. At work still IE 6 - no problems. So it’s somehow related to Chrome. The IT guy who built the new one cross-loaded everything from the old one to the new one, so other than signing in again with a new IP address - the 12 digits or whatever - for the wireless router that’s now our interface with the DSL line, it all went very smoothly, even the secure accounts with the electric co. and an investment firm, uploads to Flickr, etc.
So again, I strongly suspect it’s in the interaction between Chrome and Trains.com. I just haven’t been motivated and had time enough to do anything about it, other than avoid it as much as possible - read and only limited posting from home, more extensive from the work computer during personal time.
Larry, I thought it was your mouth that you were supposed to hold right–that worked for me when I was painting window sashes; I seldom had to take the rag out of my pocket to wipe the glass. But, perhaps for internet work it’s your tongue that you have to hold right. [:)]
