A bnsf train hit a traruck this morning at 7:28 am 1 mile south of elmdale kansas. killed the driver of the traruck. the other two occupants are in fair and serious condition. The eastbound train hit the tra***ruck going around 65mph!!! The train was 4,550 feet long, 41 cars, and had 9 engines.
Elmdale is between emporia and newton, on what used to be the santa fe’s 1st district

You need to host the images on a third party site such as Imageshack.
Then get the URL that is provided to you and copy/paste here.
it should look something like this:

Speaking of garbage…
That was helpful, CShaveRR. No, really! Dignified the person’s attempt to communicate, too. Nice.

Dang…
Ouch, Loved the trash in the power wires. Must have been one heck of a ride for the driver. Hope he made it. All though he would need some luck judgeing by the cab
Getting hit by a Z train isn’t a good thing in particular (UPS trailers). Depending on where it was, it could have been a 70 mph smash.
No offense intended–just a comment on what I was looking at.
Pictures are much better!
just proves if there is a tie at a crossing you lose.
stay safe

Hmmm, looks like a trashy situation.
that is terrible…amaing the trash in the lines though…too bad there wasent a camera to get that. I often wonder what people think when they try to beat trains…
quick question, why does no one link like this? Why do people just post links?
COMMONLY CALLED ------- “A MESS” -------- And that is no understatement
Onesecond, the process is daunting and confusing to many people, especially those new to the technology in the first place. Also, there is a wide range of literacy on these forums, so the instructions are challenging to some. Once a person masters the technique, it becomes easy, as it is for you and me. For others, it is like reading the Windows XP manual…(shudder).
I have explained the process several times to people on several forums, because I consider it part of my ‘citizenship’ here. I will admit, though, that it is getting old. [xx(]
i mean, i do not pretend to be some kind of internet expert, but its not that hard…[img] tags, thats all…
Onesecond - As someone who codes HTML for a hobby, I have a pretty good grasp on the forum code. But, as selector pointed out, not everyone has that kind of experience, or even interest. For some folks, just typing in what they want to say and hitting the submit button is as technical as they want to get, until they decide they have a photo they want to share, or something like that. You don’t usually find someone who just can’t get it and goes on and on about it. On the contrary, their posts start to show some color, etc.
As for the end result of that accident, it looks like our “Adopt-a-Highway” stretch of road sometimes seemed, although it was never that bad. Too bad about the driver - I know he’ll be missed. But the train generally wins.
Also I do not imbed the pics so that way the people on dialup do not have to wait everytime they open the thread for the pics to load. Kinda like I only post my sig one time on each page to save bandwidth. (hint hint)
