Train Month

Howdy,

Have been out and around e-bay and Marx trains groups. But on a bigger question I’d like to know if I imagined this or not: Is there a month that is referred to as something like"bring a train to work month" or week or day or something like that? I swear I saw some reference to it once but can’t seem to remember any of the details… thinking about hauling some 027 to work and putting it on the work room work table… I should only get clobbered a few times! Thanks.

The World’s Greatest Hobby program every year has a “Take a Train To Work Day”. It’s usually in Novenber. I think it’s been the 12th or 14th before. Check Classic Toy Trains. They should mention what day it is soon, perhaps in the next issue.

It sounds like you ought to have some fun at work with that. It’s great to see that you’re helping to promote the hobby. Who knows, perhaps one or more of your coworkers will end up becoming a toy train enthusiast?

I think that was take a train to work DAY, like Sask said. November has always been national model railroading month. Just i time for the holiday season.

November has always been the month for as long as I can remember. Much longer than the World’s Greatest Hobby program has been around.[:0][;)]

Hey, thanks for the information. I’ll check out the next issue of CCT and lube up ye olde rolling stock! [8D]
