Train Order Signal

I have an old train order signal that I legally obtained in Dawson Georgia. I believe it was on an old Southern line. I also “think” it was made by Union Switch & Signal, but am not sure. I have photos of the signal, if anyone need to see them… I am looking for some information on it’s history and who actually made it. Thanks ahead for the help.

If you’ve got the whole thing, odds are the manufacturer’s name or initials are cast into it somewhere.

If it was installed in Dawson

  1. The north south line was an old SAL line Columbus - Albany (abandoned except for 4 miles each side of Dawson)(Yeomans - Sasser).

  2. The east west line was Georgia Central (not C of Ga.) then South Carolina Central; Ga Southwestern RR (Rail TEx) Eufaula - and a long way to Albany (in service). They have a small 2 position 1 track engine house in Dawson.
