ADIX 1835 in Thendara station, pencil drawing. A locomotive I have personally operated many times.
You reminded me of an illustration that came included in Railroad Model Craftsman, I think it was in the 1980s.
It had a picture of a painting with the calendar, and on the back there was a lot of useful information for modelers.
I need to find one that I saved. The magazine itself was lost a long time ago.
HO-Velo, part of my library consists of first person accounts of working for the railroad. The occupations of the authors cover just about every kind of job one can find on a railroad. Several of the authors were working as firemen during the depression and most of them mentioned that when they saw a group of kids gathering coal trackside they would, on occasion, toss out a shovel full of coal right after they passed them.
I know im new here and all, but before my obsession with turning the house into a railyard (with my wifes blessing). We were/are a framing, photography, and printing company. So i decided to semi retire and now im all about trains. We have a canvas printer that can print any photo any size and length is no object as long as it’s under forty feet and no larger than 60 inches high. So for my sceneries i will most likely just run em off to the length of the game room wall. As of now the artwork in my study conaists of classic cars. But i have been taking puctures of some locos I live in N. TX and visit the Frisco museum where they have several on display and those will replace the cars soon or maybe just accompany them. So if ya’ll come across an impossible want/ need for art just give me a hollar and we might be able to help. I am in no way wanting to plead for work, i just know sometimes the price of specialty art gets out of hand thats kinda why we started our own gallery. Love the wall art being shown in the thread, maybe someday i will figure out how to post some. Have a great day lady’s and gents!
I just figured out how to post pics… it’s the easiest way on the web… easiest of any forum.
Just copy/paste
Go to any pic you want to post… copy it, then just paste it
No uploading needed by you, no offsite hosting needed by you… just copy /paste
Thanks!
Hello, This is a CNR Clock that I made using an existing clock template found on the internet.
Afterwards I inserted a CNR logo.
The clock is from a Dollar store.
Very nice pictures
Scribbelt, nice work!

I did these watercolor paintings about 10 years ago but they’re not hanging on my walls.
This is like the previously posted montages of photos I took and manipulated. This one is the Berea depot at Grand Pacific Junction in Olmsted Falls Ohio.
Those pictures aren’t hanging on my walls, but they could hang on yours.

Beautiful water colour paintings, you have lots of talent ![]()
I have always loved Art Deco and the Poirot Series on PBS. So my father got me this, framed one year for Christmas. Doesn’t fit my railroad, but it’s too nice not to have in the train room.
Wow! You’re good!
Boy, there;s some talented ffolkes around here.

Don’t have a train room as such but here’s what Her-in-doors allows around the house.
A couple of my pencil drawings…

I still live in hope that one day Ja1267 will be restored, but even if it was available, I could never afford the cast brass number plate on the firebox door, so I made a full size facsimile out of layered MDF.

Rebecca, absolutely stunning watercolors!
Maybe you would like to come to my layout and paint clouds on my sky blue walls! ![]()

Those look like they are from the series that Howard Fogg painted for the UP Centennial in 1969. I have a print of the City of Los Angeles. They also appeared in a smaller format in a book that told a brief history of the railroad; I don’t know whether they were used in a ‘69 or ‘70 calendar.
