I know there are 2 shows coming up, one on the weekend of the 22 and the other is Feb 5th I think… Any suggestions on which one is a bit better Joseph
I don’t know about the one, but one of those is the Timonium show and WELL worth the time. Takes me about 3 1/2 hours to drive down there and it’s worth every minute of the trip.

If they are holding the Timonium Show at the Maryland Fairgrounds at the Cow Palace (Or other building I forgot which) then you gotta go.
That is one show that is worth a trip. If I was not in college right now I would definately road trip up there and visit. (Flying is cheaper and I think light rail now has access to BWI airport direct to the fair grounds) Somebody verify that for me, because I know the light rail had a station directly behind the Fairgrounds but not sure if they completed the BWI station yet?
The big one is the Great Scale Model Train Show www.gsmts.com and is well worth going to. The next one is Feb 5&6 at the Maryland Fairgrounds in Timonium. These are held four times a year. The summer show is smaller than the other three so they can fit into the air conditioned building.
Enjoy
Paul
Yes, that is the one. And yes, as far as I know, the light rail can take you right to the airport and back.

thanks for all the info… would love to meet up with anyone going…Joseph
The MTA just closed the Light Rail line north of Baltimore, in order to add a second track to all of the single-track stretches of the line. (The south side was closed last year.) So you would have to take a cab or rent a car to get to Timonium directly from the airport. Otherwise, you could take the Light Rail into town and then take an MTA shuttle bus north. I would check the MTA website before making any plans (http://www.mtamaryland.com/)

would love to meet up with a few of you guys, I myself will be going with my little boy so I am very happy… Joseph
I will be working at the TDP table for both days at the show.
Stop by and say hey.
Ed
Think I met you there at one of the Fall shows - you have the PRR E’s in N scale with the sound in them?
–Randy
Wish i could go. i usually do but i am going camping with scouts. If i was going i would probably pick up some more ground foam and some autos.
I generally go twice a year. The fall (Oct)and winter (Jan/Feb) shows in Timonium are the best ones, I think. The winter show is usually the biggest. I would be going, but I was in Amherst last weekend, but I would spend too much money if I went to two in two weeks!
I plan on being there and bringing my horde. It has been awhile since I went to a train show. the boys are looking for buildings for there layouts and I will need track for my new one.

See you all there.
