Train show in Lakewood NJ 11/25 & 11/26/2005

The Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders will be conducting our annual Open House on Friday November 25, 2005 and Saturday November 26, 2005.

We are located in the basement of the All Saints Episcopal Church rectory building at 213 Madison Ave. (Rt. 9 North) between 2nd and 3rd streets in Lakewood NJ.
Hours of operation are Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM.

So if you are tired of turkey and football, or don’t want to go shopping with your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend, bring the kids down for a fun afternoon. You can still go to the Greenberg show in Edison on Saturday if you visit us on Friday.

Some new things have been added this year; the O gauge layout has an elevated level modeled after the overhead subway lines in Brooklyn, more operating accessories, and both TMCC and DCS are now operational. The HO layout is now controlled by DCC and has some new vignettes added.

See our web page if you need directions.

Plus, you might have the opportunity to meet fellow forumites, me, CSXJOE, LocoBudd, NYC Hudson, Lackamoney RR, Captrain, Parker 99, T Ball, and maybe Captain Kraft, aka Ted Bertiger.

CSXJO, My son and I would like to thank you and your club members for the open invitation. We went there not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by your kindness and hospitality. The layouts you have are great and my son loved the interactive buttons. I personally enjoy HO scale but on the way home from your MRR club my son could not stop talking about the BIG trains (O scale) and asked, “When can we get the BIG trains?” By the time we got home (45 min. later) he had talked me into O scale. I am still going to build an HO scale layout, but now I think I’m going to redo plans to make room for O scale. Again, thank you for allowing us this great opportunity with your club. [:D] [tup]
