Man what a bad idea this turned out to be!

Give it a little time, it looked an interesting idea to me. I would be curious to see what forum members are specifically looking for this weekend when they go down to the train shop.

As an additional note that’s related to this thread…and believe me this happens to me whenever I go into a train shop or a record/CD shop…it’s so easy to get overwhelmed by all the stuff when you walk through the door of a shop. So many folks when they visit here say “I always forget what I came here for”…nothing wrong with making a list! We do it for the grocery store…do it for the LHS.

In fact I thought of having some hobby shop shopping lists printed up, handing them out…to keep by your workbench, and when you run out of something, write it down then and bring the list on your next visit.

I am going to town tomarrow and will pick-up some more apple and some HO scale apples to scatter on the ground in the apple orchard. Any one know how to put the stem on a HO scale apple??HAHA Mike

Cork sheeting for HO roadbed: 1/4" (mainline) & 5/32" (siding) thick.

Unfortunately, they won’t have it (nor anyone in town, for that matter) so I’ll have to order it online.

Tom

  • Monday, July 17 - 2 boxes of 1/2" wire nails for cork roadbed attachment

Still on the “to purchase” list:

  • Norfolk Southern locomotives, looking for GE-9, and EMD SD50
  • Kansas City Southern locomotive, looking for EMD SD70
  • I could go on…

Tom,

I found some of those cork sheets at Wal-Mart a couple of weekends ago. It was near the section with bulletin boards and school supplies. They are 1/4" thick and come in rolls for about $7.00 each.

Gouche,chalk,paint. I’m weathering.[:)]

That’s it.

Cinder Ballast, Trees, Bit’s ‘n’ pieces, ie Kadee’s Metal wheels and I need a small drill piece set with #79 #80 bits in it… oh and paint! [:)]

I’ll probably walk out with a new loco and freight cars lol

I always take a list, but I normally get whats not on the list and forget about what is.

Well I just put out over $3.000.00 for buildings, and detail parts for my upcoming web site.

I can`t even think about shopping!!![banghead]
