Train Trivia 1/17/06 (ANSWERED)

Not the same ‘Acme’ the Coyote uses.[^]
PULLMANS

Modern Steel Pullmans.

Like those on the New Haven Merchants Limited - the ONLY way to get from NE’s greatest cities.

Man. How many times am I going to have to warn you guys about including “other” in your poll choices… No joke. If SpaceMouse sees this he’s going to really be ticked off.

Tracklayer

I voted for the Pullmans.

Happy Railroading.[swg][swg]

ditto

ditto…

Pullman’s they were built about 3 miles from my home.

Nah! Chip is gone for the rest of the week! Next week start putting “other” as a choice. [;)]

I’ll say Pullman as well

Well let’s see: The Overland in 1918 was the Overland Limited not express and the Super Chief didn’t start running intil the 1930s and thetre’s no way a 1918 steam engine would be the Acme of comfort so that leaves…

Tracklayer,

Your getting to be a real pain as this is the second time I’ve seen you post that.

I and I think most people really don’t care what you or Spacemouse think. Get ticked off.

And besides - there is no OTHER - one of those is the correct answer.

I think Tracklayer was making a “funny”. Tha’s the way I took it anyway.
Terry[:D]

Yes, he was clearly saying it in jest, David. Thou hast goofed. [:D]

Maybe - but once is enough - when you beat it to death you start to take them seriously.[:o)][:I][oops][:-^]

I voted for “Modern Steel Pullmans”, because I don’t believe the Super Chief was around yet, and “comfort” most likely refers to passenger trains, so that leaves out Baldwin engines.[:D]

I voted Steel pullmans because they were considered more readily able to withstand accidents. Wood cars would shatter, splinter, and burn.

Pullman

Man you guys are smart!
