I guess 1946. Right after the war when there were so many young vets cheering for “their” service.
Far as I can tell, the Limted Limited was a regulary scheduled train, NOT the Army-Navy game special.
Trains came from all over - some with road power like GG-1’s, some using MP54 electric MU cars.

We’re all probably dead wrong, but I also chose '46 for the obvious post-Big Exercise reasons.
Before the war not after it on Nov. 29 1941 the record was reached, just days before Pearl Harbor was attacked.
