Using my brain instead of the internet. I guessed 1934 because I seem to recall the depression had eased and they were trying a new advertising scheme to get passengers back on the train. The new suspension in the lightweight sleeping cars made the ride as smooth as a kitten.
In 1934 the first Chessie calendar was produced with 40,000 copies distributed.
