Train Trivia 11/06/05 (ANSWERED)

If every body know this I will eat my hat. That reminds me who came up with the saying “I’ll eat my hat?”[:)]

Hoboes. Time to eat hat[xx(]. The phrase "I’ll eat my hat was, like many other sayings, made famous by Charles Dickens.

Well I hope your hat is edible. I think everyone will know.

Hobo.

It was called “The Road” and it and another book by London formed the basis of the movie 'Emperor of the North".

Don’t ya just hate it when I do this? [:D]

Andre

That wasn’t the name of the book.

Perhaps not, but I notice you didn’t dispute the answer of hobo.

Andre

I didn’t back it either

[8D]Knowing the Late Mr.London and his taste for adventure,I’d say he wrote about a Hobo.[8D]

Ah, but the question was about a short story, “The Hobo and the Farie” as I recall. I should probably look it up, I have the “complete” works of London sitting on a shelf here somewhere…

I’ve read a couple of Jack London’s works. Most notably “The Call of the Wild”.Problem with too many of today’s writers is none of them hve the sense of adventure like Jack London;Ernest Hemingway;Louis L’amour and ernest K.Gann had.

Not a picture of me folks.

The story was called Hoboes that Pass in the Night!

I don’t really think you have to eat it. You said if “everybody” knew this. One person didn’t… So no hat!

And I was just getting out the steak sauce and catsup, or maybe mayo would taste good on a hat.

sorry, I spoiled it for everyone…but I guessed right!
