I don’t think that he robbed a train. His specialty was knocking over small-town banks, mostly in Missouri. The beginning of the end came when his gang tried to rob a bank in Northfield MN, and the townspeople fought back.
…The answer I found was seven…eleven banks, and three stage coaches and various places including a county fair…!
