as a former employee of 3 railroads I enjoy reading about historic site like horsehoe. I started with the Lehigh valley when they received money from the feds for flood damage from hurricane agnes in 72. then came the bailout with conrail. times were lean. every penny was watched. the came the merger with Norfolk southern. so I like all stories of any thing that has to do with any of those railroads. and historic site like donner pass. and cajon pass.etc now enjoying retirement.
