If you enjoy watching “Trains & Locomotives”, “The Train Show”, “Great Layouts”, “I Love Toy Trains” on RFD-TV ( which I get on DirectTV, Channel 379 ),
PLEASE take the time to fill out their “Viewer Survey” to insure that these programs continue to be aired.
I really enjoy those shows also. I would love to fill out a “Viewer Survey” if you tell me where to get one. I wouldn’t want these shows to go to waste.
Well the one I usually watch is “Trains & Locomotives”. That’s just a trains at work, sometimes you can even get a view from the cockpit! But the others I’m not so sure about.
Man I wish Comcast had channel like this on it’s digital cable. However, with the way comcast operates it’ll be about another 30 bucks a month on top of the 50 bucks a month for digital. Go figure.
Get a dish. It’s not any more expensive and you have a lot more choices, especially if you like shopping channels. At last count we had around fifiteen.
The only problem I have is that I have 150 channels and only watch ten or twelve. But having RFD is a bonus.
But there are train shows on other channels. I mentioned earlier this week that there was a train show on History International that included an interview with O. Winston Link. Also, other Discovery Channels, including the Travel Channel have train programs too.
All in all I think that the di***hing is way better than cable.

Cockpit?
Mr. Random, cockpits are on airplanes.
Locomotives - steam, diesel and electric - have CABS.
Interesting shows…the first one I saw was the “Marias Pass” episode. Was really cool because that’s just what I wanted to see…minimal narration and the trains going by…BNSF and Amtrak, too!
The older shows are interesting too. I also like to watch The Train Show (mostly model trains) and Grand Scale Trains, which is about live steamers, though Trains & Locomotives is the best, because it’s an hour long. Although, a few times they’ve put Grand Scale Trains and The Train Show back-to-back.
Thanks for the heads up… I TiVo “The Train Show” but didn’t know about the other shows on RFTV… the TiVo didn’t find them when I searched for “rail” and “train” in the title.
The Train Show is fairly entertaining - the host is way too enthusiastic though [(-D]
