If you enjoy watching “Trains & Locomotives”, “The Train Show”, "Great Layouts, “I love Toy Trains” on RFD-TV ( which I get on DirectTV, Channel 379 )
PLEASE take the time to fill out their “Viewer Survey” to insure that these programs continue to be aired.
I have Charter as my cable company here in central Massachusetts, and I requested that they carry the RFD-TV channel way back in February. They sent me a reply stating that they would process my request, and even gave me a request number. Have I heard from them since ??? Heck no, so I resent their reply back to them and asked if were typical to take 6 months for action, and if I could wait 6 months to pay my monthly bill. ( Of course you all know the response I will get to THAT one, right guys ?)
I will call again today and see what the story is… I hate to add another carrier to my monthly TV/internet services, but I really would love to get the RFD channel.
Great shows, GREAT channel. I filled out the online viewer request, but I don’t think you have to worry too much about them taking the shows off of the air–they’re very dedicated to rural life, and rural life includes trains. If they take one train show off, they just replace it with another (Great Layouts with The Train Show, for example–I don’t know about the rest of you, but I think that Einhorn fellow is just a kick in the pants! I REALLY like him). And one of the new ones GIANT SCALE TRAINS is a wowser of a program. but yes, let RFD-TV know that we LIKE what they’re doing. They’ll keep doing it, they seem like that kind of people.

Guys, even if it’s not on cable, go fill out the survey anyway. There’s a comment section you can fill out too. Tell them you want it available on cable. That’s the only way it will happen is if enough people request it.
I never will forget the night about a year ago when I was channel surfing and came across a railroad program on RFD. Up until then, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as RFD. It was like I’d died and gone to train heaven… I now have over 40 hours worth of programs recorded on DVD, and am still recording any time I encounter something I don’t already have.
I asked a friend of mine if he knew what RFD stood for, and he replied Rent Free Dish ?. What can I say, the guy is a graduate of the University Of Idiots - with honors…
