Trains & Locomotives Time Change

If anyone was as bummed as I was last week to find T&L’s off the RFD TV Saturday mourning schedule, it’s back this week but they moved it to 11:AM Central Time. This week is supposed to be about narrow gauge RRing.
And if anyone watches Talk Soup (or The Soup) on E! channel, they spoofed I Love Toy Trains this week! [(-D]

At least you get it! I only get to see it when I’m at my daughter’s house - my stupid cable co doesn’t carry RFD!![:(!]

Too bad. [V] Your missing a GREAT Rio Grande narrow gauge show!

Glad I checked your post, not always able to get on the computer this time of day. Didn’t know such a program was on. Catching the last 15 minutes. It is on at noon here, which is ideal for me and if someone is watching something else I’ll go downstairs and watch it on the old set, where I watch mostly sports and model rr video & DVD’s (not as good a picture, but watchable).

Next week is the biggest train show of the year around here, so I’ll have to remember in a couple of weeks to watch it when I come in for lunch.

Thanks for the heads up.

Waht’s RFD-TV. What’s c-o-b-l-e? No wait, it was c-a-b-l. No that’s not right. C-b-l? No. Ah! I got it! C-e-b-e-l. Wait. No no no no no. Maybe it was…[alien]

It’s carried on satellite Direct TV channel 345 and Dish Network 231. Mostly country and farming shows, but they show T&L’s and I love Toy Trains. They have some good old tractor and machinery of the past shows too. They have a weekly program listing their site. T&L’s will be on again Monday at 6:00PM Eastern time.

I’ve got Direct TV and have set my DVR to record TRAINS AND LOCOMOTIVES whenever it comes on, so I’m pretty safe. But that show on Rio Grande narrow gauge (Vol 1) was terrific. Hopefully next week they’ll show Vol 2. That show is always worth watching, IMO.

Satellite? Do those use those dish thingys? Gee I always thought people were just buying really expensive ugly bird bathes.

Cable and satellite are like the internet. Too expensive to afford when you consider I can get it for free other places. It’s also a lot like going out to the movies. A comidity I once enjoyed on a very regular basis.

We have a "Model RR is too expensive “thread”, maybe you should start a "Cable, Satellite and web access is too expensive’ thread. [:D]

Actually, out here in SunnyCal, T&L comes our way on Monday’s at 3:00 PM on that little dishy thing I’ve got on my roof, LOL! It’s the same little dishy thing that all of my neighbors have on THEIR rooves, so it must not be that expensive, as we’re all pretty middle-class working folk.

Tom

You are S.O.L. there twhite; Monday’s show is titled “4-4-0 American Standard”. I have no idea what the program might be about but a good guess is that it would be about something titled–are you ready for this?–"4-4-0 American Standard’.

Really? Where do you get RFD-TV for free?

R.T.

If it’s the program I think it is, it’s probably going to be about the re-built narrow-gauge “Eureka” and its sojurn on the Silverton Branch and Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Line some years back. Great scenery and interesting commentary on how the loco was restored.

Tom

I like the T&L’s episodes that show working railroads rather than rebuilt excursion trains. With those you just get to see the same train and cars from different angles for an hour. The working roads give you a much better idea of how and why yards and track are built the way they are.
